What is this treatment?
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with straightening crooked teeth and correcting misaligned bites (like overbites or underbites). Traditional braces use small metal or clear ceramic brackets glued to the teeth, connected by a thin wire. This wire applies constant, gentle pressure to slowly move the teeth into their perfect, straight positions.
Why might you need it?
You need braces if your teeth are crowded, crooked, overlapping, or if you have too much space between them. Braces are also needed if your upper and lower jaws don't meet correctly when you bite down, which can cause jaw pain or difficulty chewing.

🤕Is it painful?
Putting the braces on does not hurt at all. However, for the first few days, and for a day or two after each tightening appointment, your teeth will feel sore and tender when chewing. This is normal and means they are moving.
⏳Recovery Time
It takes about a week for your cheeks and tongue to get used to the feeling of the braces. After that, they become a normal part of your daily life.
